Digitando "Bon Ton" sul web, in 0,25secondi (che tra poco è neanche il tempo di completare un nostro respiro) si ottengono più di 19milioni di risultati.
We can Google "Bon Ton" on the web, and in 0,25seconds (not even the time to complete one of our breath) we obtain more than 19millions of results.
Sto notando che ultimamente è sulla bocca di molti, e chi più, chi meno un pò tutti sappiamo il significato di quest'espressione.
Si pensa sempre al Bon Ton (sbagliando) come un qualcosa che non ci riguarda, quel qualcosa in più riservato solo a persone altolocate ed abbienti (frase già sentitaaaa anche per il Wedding Planner..) ....ma NON è affatto vero!
Lately I'm noticing that many people's talking about it, and more or less anybody knows the meaning of this expression.
People often think (being mistaken) about Bon Ton as something which does not concern any of us, but only the leisure class, well-off people (phrase already heard also about the consultation of the Wedding Planner..) ..But it is NOT true, at all!
Se sfogliamo alcuni libri più "datati", possiamo notare come il Bon Ton o Galateo, all'epoca imponesse abiti, posture ed atteggiamenti, che oggi considereremmo severi, rigidi, altezzosi ed innaturali, ma questo nostro giudizio è correlato al fatto che ogni epoca ha le proprie usanze e costumi, e l'evoluzione di queste e e del tempo , influisce sul nostro giudizio.
If we do read some old-fashioned books, we can note that at that time Bon Ton or Good Manners or Etiquette imposed people some clothing, posture and attitudes, that today we would consider as strict, severe, snobbish and unnatural, but our judgment is correlated to the fact that every epoch has its uses and customs, and having them evolved, this influences our judgment.
Se ci pensiamo bene, non è assolutamente niente di complicato o fuori-dal-mondo, anzi, e ne troviamo l'applicabilità nei nostri gesti quotidiani, un esempio ne è un semplice "Grazie", in risposta ad una cortesia ricevuta...
If we do think about it, it is absolutely nothing complicated or out-of-this-world, indeed we find its applicability in our dayly acts, for example just saying a simple "Thanks" , in response to a kindness received...

Facciamo conto che la nostra vita sia un grande negozio, e come tradizione dei saldi di inizio anno, dovremmo cercare di mettere : le buone maniere ed i buoni propositi tra i NUOVI ARRIVI - NON IN SALDO , e tutto ciò che invece riteniamo da (poter) correggere tra i SALDI DI FINE STAGIONE.
Let's imagine our own life to be a big shop, and according to the sales' tradition at the beginning of the year, we should try to put : good manners and intentions among the NEW ARRIVALS - NOT FOR SALE , and anything thst we consider to be correct among the OFF-SEASON SALES.
Cambiare è salutare, e cambiare in meglio sè stessi e le proprie abitudini si può, eccome, basta un pizzico di forza di volontà.
E ricordate sempre : ci meritiamo il meglio. Ed allora perchè non provare ad essere il meglio anche per gli altri?
Change is healthy, and change oneself and one's habits for the better is possible, you just need a hint of will.
Please remember : we deserve the best. Why then, don't we try to be the best for others too?
